Scope – My task was to create a point of interest in a store that would increase the sales of vintage Edison style LED light bulbs.
Research – indicated that with current trends of natural wood, glass and metal in these lighting stores a bold color would stand out and help draw interest. A connection had to be made between the vintage aesthetic of the bulb and the purchase display, so an antique strength tester was chosen and modified.
Production – When customers grip the hands and push them inward, a dial is turned and the bulbs grow brighter and more vibrant. This not only gets the customer looking intently at the brand and product, but also displays the dimming feature of the LED bulb, emphasizing a major product selling point. The company name was inspired by the mythological cyclops giant Arges, which stands for bright.
